15. Income Taxes During the three months ended March 31, 2026 and 2025, there was no provision for income taxes as the Company incurred losses during those periods. Deferred tax assets and liabilities reflect the net tax effect of temporary differences between the carrying amount of assets and liabilities for financial reporting purposes and the amounts used for income tax purposes. The Company recorded a full valuation allowance against its deferred tax assets as the Company believes it is more likely than not the deferred tax assets will not be realized. The One Big Beautiful Bill Act ("OBBBA") was passed and became effective for the Company during 2025. The legislation includes, among other provisions, permanent full expensing for certain business assets, changes to the interest deduction limitation under Section 163(j), amendments to international tax provisions including the global intangible low-taxed income (“GILTI”) and foreign-derived intangible income (“FDII”) regimes, the permanent extension of the controlled foreign corporation (“CFC”) look-through rule, as well as modifications to the treatment of research and development expenditures mentioned above. |
